I stay here for a few nights every year with my wife and two kids. The rooms are all unique and have a historic feel to them. Staff is welcoming and the property is very well kept. Food at the dining room is top notch. I would highly recommend to anyone!

I stayed overnight at the Fishers Loft in a number of years ago and recall how beautiful the property was. This time, along with my family of five, I decided to take them to have a look. If you was what I remembered it was, which was incredible. We spent some time sitting on the bench above the garden overlooking the cove and enjoyed a nice breeze. We were there during lunch time, and unfortunately, the restaurant was not open for lunch. Nevertheless, the exteriors of the various buildings looked extremely well kept. The grounds were also well-maintained. if I were in the area to stay overnight, this will be my Top Choice.

For context, this review is for the restaurant only, as we didn't stay at the Inn.A wonderfully quaint, hidden gem of a restaurant, with views of the onsite working veggie and herb farm. Having dined at Twine Loft the night before, this was an opportunity to compare the two local mid-range establishments head to head.Reservations at 7:30, seated immediately on arrival for the set menu of gazpacho soup, Caesar salad, braised lamb shank (cod alternative for companions) , and rhubarb "fool" as the finisher. The gazpacho was refreshing, purist, with a kick of heat to balance. Phenomenal, bright red in color, this was my favourite dish for the evening. The Caesar was underwhelming, an odd choice as it is difficult to elevate beyond the usual mix of simple ingredients. The croutons were disappointing, almost commercial in texture and taste, perhaps they were. The wonderfully light dressing and crisp, fresh romaine from the garden saved it. The "bacon"? Let's not even go there. Moving to the lamb shank, this was really my challenge to the chef. To deliver on something other than seafood in seafood season in this area. Unfortunately, while the cook was near spot on, clearly low and slow, the flavour profile and seasoning were lacking. Additionally, the sauce was overly glossy, too thick, too light and too sparse. Sorry guys, great try though!Companions enjoyed the cod dish, but unanimously suggested that the poached cod en papillot from Twine Loft the previous night was superior. The dessert, rhubarb "fool", consisted of a rhubarb compote, atop an abundance of freshly whipped cream, and accompanied by an almond short bread. Absolutely delicious, great flavour profile, sweet, tarte, rich. The mixed textures of the biscuit with the compote - cream balanced perfectly. Advantage fishers loft. Finally, the service was prompt, efficient and friendly, but seemed to lack the full character of the Twine Loft.Overall, the "Twine" had the slight edge here, but I hope the competition serves to improve the quality, service and delivery of both these wonderful rural experiences.

The room with the suite is fantastic. The bathroom is quite dated with the steal shallow tub and very low toilet, but all very clean. Staff are very friendly and always helpful. Food is phenomenal & fresh by reaping from their own gardens & green house. Can't say enough positive things about it. Views are incredible, trails are awesome, and the atmosphere is amazing. Worth every nickel we spent! Am I going to go back again?? MOST DEFINITELY!!

This is a very nice place to stay with some amazing views! The rooms are lovely with little touches that let you know they are paying attention to detail. Things like quality soaps and a separate cloth for makeup removal are small details that make you feel welcome. The staff are very friendly. The food is delicious and sourced and made on site as much as possible. The views are amazing! From sitting on the deck looking out over the harbour to watching the stars at night, it was beautiful.
